***Order closure update:

Current business update (as of May 5, 2020)– First, I want to say, thank you to everyone who has been so understanding when I had to cancel orders. It has been a very uncertain time and many things have changed much faster than I ever expected. Luckily, since everything I do is so small, I wasn’t effected much. As the state is loosening many restrictions and things are beginning to open up, I have started to receive quite a few order requests. I am thrilled that people would prefer to order a dessert from me, rather than make it at home. On the other hand, going into full production mode as usual isn’t ideal yet. Although I am able to order some products, I still rely heavily on grocery stores since business can be unpredictable, and I don’t always need a lot for what I do. At the moment, it still isn’t great to be going to the store multiple times a week; I would be unable to meet certain time restrictions for orders due to stores continuing reduced hours (but if I shop the night before, shelves are too picked over); even ordering online isn’t as reliable as it used to be; and going to people’s homes isn’t a great idea. Yes, I can and have done contactless delivery, but I’d rather not. There is something about seeing people’s reactions when I deliver their desserts/dinners, giving people the opportunity to ask questions, and allowing people to see the person behind the food that I refuse to let go of. What I do isn’t just another delivery service that is trying to get food to people. It is creating relationships, educating others, and bringing something more healthful and less harmful into peoples’ lives. That’s why I have chosen to continue to hold down the pause button on business. I am very grateful for everyone who has continued to support Vegan in Wyoming, I wouldn’t have such a difficult time making these decisions if it wasn’t for all of the continued support. As cliche as it sounds, I miss all of the people who regularly order dinners and dessert, and there hasn’t been a day in the last month and a half where I haven’t thought of at least some of my regulars. The reality of the situation is that I am not an essential business. Although not many peoples’ preference, most people have ability to make their own dinners and desserts in the safety and comfort of their own homes. It is a privilege that I get to make this decision myself, and I want to do everything I can to ensure the health and safety of those who order order from me, those I may come in close contact with at the grocery store, and at my home. Thank you to everyone for your time and understanding!
